Something Sunday: Documentary - The Thin Blue Line

Today's Something Sunday features the 1988 documentary

The Thin Blue Line.

I watched this documentary last June as part of a short-lived documentary club. Although initially slow-paced, the documentary concerns the story of a man, Randall Dale Adams, who has been convicted for a crime he didn't commit:* murder of a police officer in Dallas.

Beyond the case itself, I was surprised by the level of corruption that took place within the justice system.

*Technically, it's possible that Adams did commit the murder. But the documentary frames the events in such a way that suggests David Ray Harris was the true perpetrator (or at the least was at fault for pinning the blame on Adams).
