Throwback Thursday: Movie - The Aristocats

Today's Throwback Thursday features the 1970 Disney movie

The Aristocats.

I last watched The Aristocats in 2013 and was reminded of the wonderful dialogue and music.

"Why, your eyes are like sapphires sparkling so bright. They make the morning radiant and light." - Thomas O'Malley (not pictured, Phil Harris) to Duchess (above, Eva Gabor)

While the premise for the movie is silly,* the bulk of the movie is an adventure which is a delightful journey. From Thomas O'Malley stopping the milk truck to the Scat Cat and his gang singing "Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat," the movie has so much fun.

*The owner of the cats, Madame Adelaide, is leaving a will with her fortune going to her cats, followed by her butler Edgar (after their death). Edgar overhears this news and he immediately decides the cats have to go. This is silly for too many reasons. For example, even if he gets rid of the cats, Madame Adelaide would still be alive.
