Video Game Wednesday - Osmos

Today's Video Game Wednesday features

Osmos.

I played Osmos for the first time way back in 2012, and revisited the game today for more than three hours!

Level Complete. I'm king of the world!

It's a physics-based game where the player moves around by ejecting mass (losing the player's own mass in the process) to move around the level and absorb other organisms, which the game calls motes. Of course, the player can only absorb motes which are smaller than the player's current size.

Those familiar with physics will quickly grasp the finer aspects of the game's mechanics, but have no fret, those without will learn! For example, as the player accumulates mass, actions which require a change in momentum (e.g., changing direction, speeding up, and slowing down) become more difficult.
