Throwback Thursday: Movie - Ex Machina

Today's Throwback Thursday features a movie from my movie blog:

Ex Machina.

I watched Ex Machina for the first time three years ago and again three months later. The film is a wonderful work of fiction on the topic of artificial intelligence.

Kyoko (Sonoya Mizuno) and Ava (Alicia Vikander)

For those fond of philosophical discussions, this movie forms a strong basis for the discussion of what is artificial intelligence and how does it compare and contrast with human intelligence? As this movie helps illustrate, while one may assume that artificial intelligence seeks to imitate human intelligence, it is often worth acknowledging that it is ultimately a separate type of intelligence.

Conversely, we often think artificial intelligence to be bounded by programming, but to we should consider that to some extent, human intelligence is also subject to programming.
