Movie Naruto the Movie 2: Legend of the Stone of Gelel (2005)

20180514:
After watching the first Naruto movie, Naruto the Movie, I went ahead and started the second movie.

Naruto Uzumaki (JP: Junko Takeuchi / EN: Maile Flanagan)

For whatever reason, I wasn't as interested in this story as the previous one. Perhaps having Kakashi and Sasuke was more interesting than having Gaara, Kankuro, and Shikamaru. While the latter are also great characters, the former are more closely bonded to Naruto and Sakura. As a result, the story of this second movie also felt more fragmented than the first movie.

Gaara (JP: Akira Ishida / EN: Liam O'Brien)

In the end, due to my lack of enthusiasm, I would neither make a recommendation for nor against watching the movie.

Netflix determined the movie for me as a 69% match. I decided to give the movie neither a thumbs up nor a thumbs down.

Naruto and Shikamaru Nara (JP: Showtaro / EN: Tom Gibis)

Instant Comments:
Oh, it didn't look like he needed a clone to make the Rasengan. I didn't realize he achieved solo Rasengan in the first series. ["The first time Naruto used Rasengan without clones is in Naruto episode 134 at around 8:20." Comments, however, suggest that this was done by the help of the Ninetails cloak. (Stack Exchange)] [Meanwhile, this movie "takes place after episode 160." (Quora)]
Logically no person wishing for piece would attack an old man.

Kankuro (EN: Yasuyuki Kase / EN: Michael Lindsay)

Ah, good. Finally Temujin figures it out.
Naruto is insane.
