Movie Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

20180426:
Over a month has passed since I've seen the movie and I only have one comment: give me the next movie! While the next one won't come out until May 2019, there should be a sufficient number of Marvel movies being released to hold me over.

Without further comment, I would recommend anyone who hasn't seen this film to start watching through the Marvel Comic Universe and catch up with the collections of movies that are all connected. For those who want a shorter experience, I would recommend the following movies (because they are related to Thanos and/or the infinity stones): The Avengers (2012), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Doctor Strange (2016), and Black Panther (2018). Then there's some essential remarks:
1) Thor: The Dark World (2013) - mid-credits scene pertains to the Infinity Stones
2) Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - events in this movie are the catalyst for Captain America: Civil War
3) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) - remark is about Groot: Groot is a little sapling and in the credits he's become a teenager
4) Thor: Ragnarok (2017) - more about the Tesseract.

On a different note, while watching the credits, I had the following thought: (spoiler for Infinity War) Doctor Strange vanishes among the number of people eliminated by Thanos. And yet, he was able to observe 14 million possible futures. (spoiler for Doctor Strange) How does this compare to The Ancient One being unable to see past her death in Doctor Strange (2016)?.*

Thinking about Strange's statement today, I suppose using the eye somehow excluded "equivalent" futures, e.g., all else equal, someone sneezes in one future and coughs in another. It's also interesting to ask how many of the choices that can be made in the different futures are within anybody's control. It's possible that all the futures seen by Strange necessarily involve his personal actions. It should also be noted that although he spent time observing 14 million possible futures, there are likely futures left undiscovered, including those in which they prevail. I also considered the possibility that perhaps he could have placed a spell on the Stone itself.

Re-examing the scene between The Ancient One and Doctor Strange, apparently The Ancient One was able to see the future concretely, to some extent, up to a certain point in time. However, she still saw possibilities for Doctor Strange's future.

Hear It: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). Stan Lee is the bus driver.
"It means get lost, Squidward."
Audience claps when Captain America shows up.
Lol. Drax thinks he is capable of being so still that he'd be invisible.
Wow, so close to victory but of course it's better to have more plot.
Tense moment when Iron Man seems like he's gonna be killed.
I looked over at Ada and realized that she probably didn't know the rest of the story would be a separate movie. It reminded me of when I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. In any case, I leaned over and told her that there was going to be a second movie. 20180427 12:09 AM PT

*Theoretically, (spoiler to Doctor Strange) while the entire scene in Doctor Strange is meant to be interpreted by the viewer that The Ancient One has died, it's possible that she simply was prevented from seeing past that moment and may still be alive.
