Television BoJack Horseman

Watched Season 1. Finished at 20170512 2:38 AM.

Prior to watching the show, I thought BoJack Horseman was just another cartoon comedy, but it's a sitcom with a dose of drama and so it felt refreshing.

BoJack Horseman (Will Arnett), S1E01

As for the protagonist being a horse, that felt gimmicky at first, but there are other animal characters which inhabit the world and it lends itself to humor; it's clever.

Overall, I was impressed by the plot of season 1 and I'll definitely watch season 2 sometime soon.

BoJack and Sarah Lynn (Kristen Schaal), S1E03

As a side note, the opening theme song is catchy. Also, I remember watching it at the start of the second episode and comparing it to when I saw it at the start of the first episode. When I watched it the first time, clearly there was BoJack Horseman, and there were all these other random people. But when I saw it the second time, I was like, oh, some of these figures are characters we just met in the first episode.

Netflix lists "Horsin' Around" as one of its shows, complete with a description, list of actors and actresses (BoJack Horseman, Joelle Clark, Bradley Hitler-Smith), and genres. However, I learned recently that it's just the opening credits (and essentially just a gag with respect for the series in this blog post: BoJack Horseman). All this time, I've had it in My List and it's just a short 47 second clip.

In any case, I watched it today and it was a good parody of family sitcoms from that era.

Netflix determined the special feature for me as a <55%* match. I decided to give the special feature a thumbs up.

*With the first movie without a match percentage being 1st, Horsin' Around was the 18th out of 29 items with hidden match percentages.

Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris)

Lol, it finally makes sense. "Andrew Garfield likes lasagna and hates Mondays."

BoJack and Todd Chavez (Aaron Paul)

Haha. "You say 'tomayto tomato' I say 'tomato tomato'."
Oh shit. BoJack sabotaged his friend's chance

"In and out, like a Protestant on Christmas."
With an accent, "suck a dick, dumb shits."

BoJack, Diane Nguyen (Alison Brie), and Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins), S1E06

Ah... is it happening? (BoJack and Diane)
"Whaaaaaaa" - BoJack
"Whaaaaaaa" - Diane
'Diane Recieves "D"'

These episodes continue to surprise me.

Oh snaps, Todd almost found the Beast Buy receipt.

Princess Carolyn and Vincent (Alison Brie)

Lol. "Who's Dr. Quinn? Who's Doctor Who?" "Third base!"
