Screenshots show I played from 2:53AM PT to 3:09AM PT. And those screenshots only go up to me fighting Behold the Watcher.

Josh, Michael, and I in the tutorial portion of the game.

Today the screenshots go from 7:07PM PT to 7:57PM PT. These screenshots start at helping the lady realize rats aren't a big deal compared to goblins and end at fighting Jormungandr (the boss at the end of Chapter 2). Josh came over some time before I got to Jormungandr and he watched me play.

Today I had my friends Josh and Michael over, so I thought it might be fun to try three-player Magicka. Screenshots span from 11:26PM PT to 1:38AM PT of 20121225. We decided to stop playing after successfully completing the third chapter.

For controls, I used keyboard-and-mouse, Josh used my Logitech Gamepad F310 and Michael used my Logitech Dual Action. Sometime during the gameplay, we discovered that you don't have to press the right analog to choose spells. By the very end, Michael discovered that one doesn't have to wait for the spell icon to appear to continue on with the spell combination. This drastically shortened the cast time. This discovery also applies to the keyboard-and-mouse input.

I'm dead (blue wizard) and waiting to be revived.

Playing the game with three players is a lot more fun than playing it with just one player. Though to be clear, the fun comes from the mayhem, and not everyone will enjoy the disaster that's sure to come.

The game is also fun if the people you're playing with are more likely to understand various pop culture references. For example, Josh picked up on a Star Wars reference and an Indiana Jones reference and we all picked up, at least partially, on the video game references made during the introduction. For reference, the narrator Vlad says, "Stay a while and listen, and I will tell you a story. A story of Dungeons and Dragons, of Orcs and Goblins, of Ghouls and Ghosts, of Kings and Quests, but most importantly -- of Wizards and Vamp -- Well... A story of Wizards." (Diablo, Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, Ghosts 'n Goblins, and King's Quest)

Tip: There's a difference between casting a spell and a Magick. A Magick is a learned combination of elements. One can only cast a Magick once it has been learned. After entering the right combination, the default key to activate a Magick is spacebar on the keyboard-and-mouse and B (red) button on a gamepad.
