While Mark, Ricky, and I wait for our food here at CVP (Charles Village Pub), they introduce me to a game called Nim. To play, just gather several objects and place them into separate piles. For example, three piles of size 3, 4, and 5. Played between two players, players take turns taking at least one object from any one pile of their choosing. The player to take the last object loses. The loser should get to decide who goes first or second next round.

Both Ricky and Mark knew the winning strategy, and in hindsight, I could only win if I went first and got lucky with my moves. The winning strategy is interesting and can be found on the Wikipedia.org page. I have included the link above.
