Movie The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon / Danny Elfman (singing))

I realized at around 7:25PM that the movie was planned to start at 7PM. Of course, I've seen the movie before, I simply wanted to come to watch what I could in 35mm. I came in at the point where Jack was bringing back items from Christmas Town. I was actually pretty tired and fell asleep through bits and pieces. Again, it wasn't a big deal, because I've seen the movie before.

Sally (Catherine O'Hara)

Without notes to accompany the screenshots, I'm guessing (20151006) that I simply had the movie play in the background while doing something else. In particular, I listed the movie under "Movies Watched in 2013".

Mayor of Halloween Town (Glenn Shadix)

Today I watched this movie on Netflix, and while I own a DVD collector's edition of the movie, I unfortunately didn't have it with me.

Instant Comments:
A: It's interesting that they show Sally, but she doesn't sing in the first number. So a viewer wouldn't necessarily notice her on the first viewing, at least not until the number is over.
A: I love the Shakespearean quotations bit.

A, B: "Three times."
A: Themes from "What's This" play prior to Jack entering the entrance of Christmas Town.
B: Jack actually was about to walk away from the Christmas Town door but got pulled in by the draft.
B: A Christmas Carol, Rudolph
A: The Scientist Method
B: What. How does a spider come out of that cut.
A: Those experiments... "Interesting reaction... but what does it mean?"

Oogie Boogie (Ken Page)

A, B: That jump.
B: "Chestnuts" divided by "Open Fire", read as "Chestnuts over open fire."
(blake paused during making Christmas)
B: I didn't know where I recognized the cat. In this scene with Sally, I realized the cat looked like the cat from Coraline (also directed by Henry Selick).
A: On the policeman's legal pad is a game of tic-tac-toe. Did he play a game by himself?
A: Scary Teddy and Undead Duck.

Evil Scientist (William Hickey) and Sally.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this movie at least three times before. At least once in 2009 and at least twice when I was a kid.
