Whoa, this movie was full of surprises, especially because I'm watching the movie wondering, who is the one with a history of violence. Viggo Mortensen kicks ass, but he looks skinnier or wimpier than compared to his role as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings (2001, 2002, 2003). Ed Harris is awesome, as are most of the other bad guys. The last action scene was sort of lame, and the last scene of the movie was strange. I'm glad I didn't know anything about the movie prior to watching it. Some of the actors and actresses looked funny.

The movie has a lot of good scenes, but a lot of empty space in between. This sometimes caused me to wonder, where is the movie going next? Which is bad. Generally with a movie, I want to have a more consistent idea of where the movie is going. Perhaps there is a twist involved, but at least I have replaced the old direction with a new direction. This movie felt more like three different movies strung together.

Viggo Mortensen ... Tom Stall
Maria Bello ... Edie Stall
Ed Harris ... Carl Fogarty
William Hurt ... Richie Cusack

Sumela Kay ... Judy Danvers
Gerry Quigley ... Mick
Deborah Drakeford ... Charlotte
Heidi Hayes ... Sarah Stall
Aidan Devine ... Charlie Roarke
Bill MacDonald ... Frank Mulligan
