Movie Jurassic Park (1993)

Overview:
In short, Jurassic Park is a park located on a Costa Rican island which contains cloned dinosaurs. The creator of the park, John Hammond, has invited a handful of people to tour the park (a paleontologist, a paleobotanist, a mathematician, and his two grandchildren), but thing's don't go as planned.

The star of the movie: T. Rex.
To make matters worst, one of his employees has deactivated the security system. Various dangers follow, including an escaped Tyrannosaurus and three Velociraptors.

20160718:
I still remember receiving this film on VHS as a birthday present when I was a kid. I didn't, however, really watch many movies growing up.

Grant (Sam Neill)
In fact, I didn't really watch many movies until I was an undergrad (primarily via Hollywood Video) and only truly began watching films in grad school (primarily via Netflix, but also a lot in theaters whenever I was visiting my friends in California).

In any case, the point is I remember the present, but only bits and parts of the movie.

Ellie (Laura Dern)
While I'm not a big fan of reading, I read and enjoyed a bit of the novel at one point.

Watching the film today, I found the movie held up pretty well over the past twenty-five years. There were, however, several moments throughout the film where the special effects were dated and/or noticeable.

Tim (Joseph Mazzello), Grant, and Lex (Ariana Richards)
With that being said, this movie retains a charm that surpasses the more recent and fourth film in the series, Jurassic World (2015). In the sense of charm and special effects, Jurassic Park is to Jurassic World as the original trilogy (Star Wars) is to the prequel trilogy (Star Wars).

One of the velociraptors...

As I watched him lift the gate, I couldn't help but wonder why there wasn't a smarter design
Is that duckface from full house? His face looks familiar...
Dr. Malcolm is a mathematician who specializes in chaos theory.
Ah, that music.

I absolutely don't remember any part prior to 18 minute mark; the first scene I sort of remember the gates; the first scene I definitely remember is the Brachiosaurus.
Having seen the other movies, I focused on the fact that they used the frog DNA to fill in the gaps (or perhaps it was vice versa)

Muldoon (Bob Peck)
"What species is this?" (He didn't know?) [20160722: I misinterpreted the scene, he knew the species, but essentially asked out of disbelief]
"What do they got in there, King Kong?"
Lol, Hammond's favorite words: "We spared no expense."
Lol. "Dinosaurs eat man. Women inherit the Earth."

Nedry (Wayne Knight)
"He's gonna eat the goat!?!"
I like the shaking water cups.
Awesome sequence of events (with T-Rex)
Huh. He throws the velociraptor claw away.
1 hr 30 min. The frog DNA is des

Arnold (Samuel L. Jackson)
"He can make it if we run." "No, we can't..." "Why not?" "We're being hunted."
The scene where they climb the electric fence is one of the best.
How could he be tricked so easily given he knew the velociraptor hunting behavior?
Lol. The kitchen scene in Bob's Burgers.

Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and Grant
"It's a UNIX system. I know this."
