20150812:
I watched this movie once before and remembering it as a love story compelled me to watch it again. I was, however, in for a bit of a surprise, because I only remembered the movie's primary plot twist and not its ending.

Of course, the movie's story is relatively unimportant, because the fighting sequences are such a pleasure to watch.

Overall, I like Andy Lau more in Shaolin (2011) and Ziyi Zhang more in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000).*

With that being said, House of Flying Daggers is a solid martial arts movie.

*I have yet to watch Infernal Affairs (2002) and I've been wanting to rewatch Hero (2002), but it's

Great fight scene.

I mean seriously... she even knows after the unexpected fight that he was wounded.
Weird. I wonder if there's a lack of physical romance.
Oh wait, there they go.

Oh wait, and there's the cock block.
Whoa. Things turned from sad to creepy real fast.
"To be free, like the wind."
He still has the dagger in his back.
