20140605:
[20150202 Edit]
Some of the beer overflowed and I cleaned it up with a towel and Clorox Disinfecting Wipe. As such, when I inhaled I could only smell the lemon scent of the Clorox I just used. Thus, I had to go on drinking the beer without knowing how it smelled. In any case, all I could detect on my initial sips was that the beer tasted strong. Turning the bottle around, I saw that this was indeed true: 9.2% ABV.

While the beer is labeled as an IPA, I honestly don't detect any hint of the IPA flavor whatsoever. As such, this makes the Double Hopper IPA similar in flavor to the Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, though more bearable. In addition, without drinking any more, I do begin to detect a bit of the IPA flavor lingering on my tongue. It tastes both slightly bitter and slightly sweet.

The beer appears to have a cloudy orange color.

As I continue to sip this beer, I find it gets harder and harder to consume: the beer tastes stronger as it gets warmer.

The final sips are warm, have a slight burn, and have a hint of the bitter IPA flavor. 10:42PM ET
