20140225:
I remember seeing this movie at Triangle Square way back when it was released. Specifically I remember going to see it with my friend Arya, and his American hosts. I vaguely remember the theaters being quite empty, but that it was the first day of the movie's release.

Cmdr. Robert Iverson (Bruce Greenwood)
In any case, I really don't remember any of the details, just a brief memory of the ending. In particular, I didn't even know Aaron Eckhart was the protagonist. Coincidentally, the last movie I saw, Meet Bill (2007), also had Aaron Eckhart in the lead role.

Overall, this movie had a couple exciting moments and the plot is pretty good as far as science fiction goes, but I guess it felt quite cheesy and the ending was anti-climatic.

Instant Comments:
"They all had pacemakers."

Josh and Maj. Rebecca Childs (Hilary Swank)
Lol, they call in two experts to simply confirm that the pacemakers being set off within a small time frame was not set off by a man-made weapon.
Why would you stand next to the glass?
The bird scene looked kind of silly.
Ha. That one worker.
What's the last movie that Hilary Swank has made? It seems she's still making movies, but none that I've heard of.

Dr. Conrad Zimsky (Stanley Tucci)
I love Stanley Tucci! I thought the first movie I ever saw him in was Shall We Dance (2004), but this movie came out in 2003. Note that Maid in Manhattan was released in 2002, but I don' think I saw that until some years later on DVD.
Ha. That's the only reason he asked for a can of aerosol? Useless demonstration.
Ha, I remember this guy. "Rat."
"I couldn't think as slow as you if I tried."
Haha. Free long distance.

Rebecca puts in extra time in the flight simulator.
Haha. The one member laughing in the back "It's a disaster."
"You're not really a leader until you've lost."
Fontana della Barcaccia!
Colosseum!
Damn, that static discharge. For reals?
Virgil the poet.
"Say it with me... 'I don't know.'"

Serge (Tcheky Karyo) and Josh.
Wow. That's some pretty good science fiction. ("It's nothing.")
Hehe. Suits that look like cloth withstanding the pressure.
Hehe. I was gonna say, why isn't the lava coming in from where they came. I thought it just sealed up on its own.
"Oh my god. they're diamonds."
Haha. Stanley Tucci's rant was awesome.
Lol, if it was really that hot, I feel like they'd have already burned up inside the car.

Theodore Donald 'Rat' Finch (DJ Qualls)
"Your torque is r plus f, but you have to integrate volume..." Ha.
Ha. Accurate to the inch and to the millisecond and outrun it. Yeah... sucks to be them.
That's certainly one way to draw straws.
Ha. "Your kung fu is not strong."
Lol. What a flip of events.
Hehe. It burns his hands, but it also weighs against his legs to less of an effect.

Zimsky, Dr. Ed 'Braz' Brazzleton (Delroy Lindo), and Josh draw sticks.
Hehe. Maybe what he means is, "We don't have enough energy to get back, let's have a quickie."
I wonder if the brain perceives pain fast enough to feel anything at that distance from the blast. A Google search showed that it probably wouldn't, because the rate of the blast is much faster than the rate at which nerves transmit signals.
"Give me a minute on this one." I know the answer! Foreshadowing.
