Video Game 1... 2... 3... Kick It! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby) (PC) (2011)

Overview: A game where you BASE jump through buildings generated by the music. Optional: use your own music library.

20140102:
I booted up Ugly Baby and the menu was a pitch black screen with a couple of options. Actually the only option I could click on was "Login as Azumi Pentak".

The first stage is named 1.0: BOSTON HARBOR and just had me, the player, collecting points.

The second stage is named 2.0: AZUMI V0.1 and was actually just a cutscene.

The third stage is composed of four levels with each level containing different goals to achieve. For example, the level 3.0: CAMBRIDGE SKY has five goals:
OBTAIN 750 TB.
OBTAIN 1,500 TB.
OBTAIN 2,500 TB.
SCAN 500 OBJECTS.*
GROOVE FOR 60 SECONDS.*
*Scan an object by coming close to it. Collect groove by passing an object with your belly. To facilitate with achieving this goal, it helps to rotate as you pass through a collection of objects, with the belly at the first object and then rotating in the direction of the upcoming objects.

In 3.1: CAMBRIDGE BELOW ,there is a goal to HACK 30 OBJECTS. This means to press a button when you pass a flashing red object. By default this should be the space bar or the middle mouse button. While not necessary, you could theoretically spam the button to make sure you get the hack.

In 3.2: CAMBRIDGE OPEN, the player can choose any music track and it will affect the level accordingly. The game has a collection of music available to use, but I suppose the fun is playing the game with your own music. If the game is anything like Beat Hazard, then there will be more obstacles when the song is more upbeat. Consequently, the game will become harder and more points will become available.

Level 3.3: WARDIVING SNIPPETS is a good level to practice hacking. The only objects to collect for the goal COLLECT 25 OBJECTS are the blue objects.

As of 20140102, according to Steam, the developers last updated the game on November 1st, 2013 (two months ago). As of 20150513, according to Steam, the developers last updated the game on July 18th, 2013 (four years ago).

Steam Game Time: 2.2 hours (total game time)

Thoughts:
Pro:
+ Play to your own music

Con:
- Trapped in "Early Access"; (as of 20170513) the last update to the game occurred about four years ago (in 2013)

Summary:
The idea for the video game seems fun and great, but for whatever reason, I did not enjoy the game.
