20140129:
I've never read or seen anything about Hellboy prior to watching this movie.

This movie goes back and forth between past and present, with the story in the past being unveiled in reverse. I found this type of storytelling effective and it made for an interesting ending.*

As mentioned, I don't know much about Hellboy, but this film seemed to focus on his mentor The Professor moreso than on Hellboy himself.

In any case, it was a decent animated action movie.

*A similar storytelling technique is used to a greater effect in the American thriller Memento (2000).

Haha. Vampire! The last movie I watched was Dracula (1931) and I was surprised to be seeing more vampires so soon.
Oh, I guess he was dreaming. Er... half dreaming?

Haha. They're talking about pastries.
Dang, that's a lot of ghosts.

Ha. Gives the new kid the task of finding the other team member. "Maybe he has a metal filling or something."
