20110502:
[20110503]
Various parts of this movie were confusing for me. The best parts of the film are the rap battles. And the best of those come in the last ten or so minutes of the film.

I didn't remember whether or not the movie was bad from the time I watched it before. Seeing it available on Netflix, I had this strange urge to watch it. I was a little disappointed when I saw it yesterday (20110502).

Overall, the movie suffers from a weak plot. I'd only recommend the movie if you like Eminem, in particular if you like his music.

Though to be fair, I did watch the movie after The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007).

Pieces of his song or possibly songs play during parts of the film where we see him brainstorming. The song "Lose Yourself" plays at the end of the film.

Cast:
Eminem gave a strong performance, but again, some of the scenes were confusing. I didn't like Kim Basinger's performance. Brittany Murphy gave a good performance, and again, back to the confusing storyline that made her character confusing to me.
