Drink Blue Moon Belgian White

20110312: [20110601]
I had this beer at PJ's Pub. I also had a Pilsner Urquell, also from the tap, but I neither took a picture nor wrote any comments on it. I sort of recall the Urquell being hoppy, but I can't be certain.

I wrote "Blue Moon draft with orange slice. Delicious."

I might have wrote delicious on 20110312, but I'm having doubts about my opinion on Blue Moon. See Yuengling 20110622.

I find it strange I only have one entry for Blue Moon Belgian White. I've certainly had it on several occasions. It's possible all those occasions were prior to the start of my blog. How mysterious.

I had a Blue Moon today (straight from the bottle) and it did a great job of washing down all the oil from the french fries I got from Kooper's Chowhound Burger Wagon. The citrus taste in this situation was perfect.

It's been a long time since I've had a Blue Moon. In particular, I'd forgotten the orange and wheat flavor. In fact, the citrus taste was alarming, especially considering I normally drink porters, stouts, and Belgian beers which have a strong flavor profile, but lack any citrus notes. 2:24PM PT

Today I had a bottle of Blue Moon poured into a glass with an orange slice garnish. It was refreshing and delicious. For whatever reason, it tasted better than the last time I had it (20160221).

While I would have liked to try either Singha or Chang, the restaurant was out of both and ultimately the Blue Moon seemed to compliment the pork pad see ew well.

GLASSWARE Pour our Belgian White* into our signature Blue Moon® glass to highlight the depth of the beer. This glass opens wide at the top to make room for the aromatic citrus notes. Cap with a creamy, white head and garnish with an orange slice.
APPEARANCE Will appear cloudy because it’s unfiltered for more depth of flavor.
AROMA You’ll notice a zesty orange fruitiness with a light spicy wheat aroma.
TASTE The flavor starts crisp and tangy and ends with a coriander and orange spiciness. The Valencia orange peel gives a subtle sweetness to the beer.
MOUTHFEEL The oats give the beer a nice creamy body, so it’s not too thin.
FINISH Our Belgian White* has a slow finish of coriander and orange spiciness.
