Overview: [20150211]
BIT.TRIP BEAT is a rhythm arcade game where the player controls a paddle on the left side of the screen, moves it vertically like a Pong paddle, and tries to prevent objects appearing on the screen from reaching the left edge.

Recommendation: [20150211]
The levels are long and consequently earning a perfect score in a particular level is difficult.

I purchased BIT.TRIP BEAT yesterday (20101127) as part of the Indie Pulse Pack (Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, BIT.TRIP BEAT, The Polynomial, and Rhythm Zone). This also makes BIT.TRIP BEAT one of my first games on Steam.*

*The Indie Clever Pack, Machinarium, Left 4 Dead 2, and Galcon Fusion were the only games I purchased prior to the Indie Pulse Pack.

Today I played a round of Transition in Normal difficulty with a touchpad but it was difficult and I would not recommend it. There were several situations which would have easily avoided if I just had a mouse.
