Michael Cera and Kat Dennings were a good mix. Part of why I like this movie is due to the overall genre. I loved Juno (2007), which might be the sort of movie the average person either loves or hates. Besides the fact that both movies star Cera, the female role is rather independent and down-to-Earth. This makes for good on-screen chemistry with Cera who from Superbad (2007), Juno, and here Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, plays the timid, nice guy role well.

I like the plot. I wonder how much the movie differs from the book. In any case, the protagonists end up together with minimal drama. On the other hand, there is enough drama to keep you wondering if they will make it. But only enough that the entire situation is believable. It's not quite "I saw you doing such and such with so and so, resulting in I'm gonna go cry until we somehow end up together again." It's more like, "Awkward, we're sort of still in our old relationships, oh we realize it's not working out. Wow, we like each other."

If you love Juno, you probably should give this movie a watch. If you didn't love Juno, then there's still a chance you'll like this movie.
